Perrigo recalls GoodSense® eye drops due to filling process
Perrigo Direct is recalling GoodSense® eye drops due to potential concerns regarding a suppliers’ validation of the aseptic filling process for the period between March 27, 2024, and Nov. 7, 2024, according to a Department of War All Food and Drug Activity message sent March 11. Use of this product may result in eye infection.
Perrigo Direct was notified by one of their suppliers, KC Pharmaceuticals, of a retail level recall of GoodSense® Eye Drops due to concerns about the filling process.
DeCA has publicized this recall to all its stores, said Richard Stith, chief, public health division, DeCA Headquarters and Support Center at Fort Lee, Virginia. Whenever a commissary has recalled or withdrawn products in its inventory, they are immediately removed from store shelves.
The following products affected by this recall:
- GS Eye Drops Original 0.5 ounce: UPC: 180410000156, lot numbers: RG24E01 and RG24G02 and expiration date: May 31 and July 31, 2026.
- GS Eye Drops Artificial Tears 0.5 ounce: UPC: 180410000163, lot numbers: AT24D01, AT24E01, AT24E02 and AT24G01 and expiration date: April 20, May 31 and July 31, 2026.
- GS Eye Drops AC Irritation Rel 0.5 ounce: UPC: 180410000187, lot number: AC24E01 and expiration date: May 31, 2026.
- GS Eye Drops Advance Moisturizer 0.5 ounce: UPC: 180410000194, lot number: AR24M01 and expiration date: Oct. 31, 2026.
- GS Eye Drops Ultra Lubricant 0.5 ounce: UPC: 846036008210, lot numbers: SU24E01, SU24E02 and SU24E03 and expiration date: May 31, 2026.
Customers should return this product to the commissary of purchase for a full refund.
