Q: Why is the Commissary charging for single-use bags?
A: This change will allow the Defense Commissary Agency (DeCA) to continue to offer its eligible patrons significant savings while strengthening our fiscal stewardship.
Q: When does this change take effect?
A: April 6, 2026, in all Commissary locations.
Q: How much will bags cost?
A: $0.05 per plastic bag
A: $0.10 per paper bag
Q: Can I still get paper or plastic bags?
A: Yes. Single-use bags will continue to be available for a charge at cost, both in-store and through Commissary CLICK2GO®.
Q: What if I forget my reusable bags?
A: Single-use and reusable bags are available in-store and through Commissary CLICK2GO®. Find your favorite reusable or hot/cold bags through Commissary CLICK2GO®.
Q: How are bags counted in Self-Checkout Lanes?
A: Our self-checkout lanes will prompt you for the number of bags used at the end of the order.
Q: Does this apply to Commissary CLICK2GO® orders?
A: Yes. Bags used for pickup or delivery orders will be included in your total. The number of bags used will appear on the receipt provided to you when you receive your order. Have your own bags? No problem! Simply tell us prior to checkout or in the notes section at the conclusion of your Commissary CLICK2GO® order.
Q: How are the number of bags used determined?
A: Our team carefully packs orders to use only the bags necessary while ensuring your items are protected.
Q: Are single-use bags refundable?
A: No. Single-use bags are non-refundable, as they are single use only.
Q: How can I avoid paying for bags?
A: Bringing your own reusable bags is the best way to avoid purchasing single-use bags. Simply present your bags at the start of your in-store checkout or in the notes section at the conclusion of your Commissary CLICK2GO® order.

Commissary gift cards can now be purchased in amounts from $5 to $300 and are refillable. In addition to our commissary gift cards you can now purchase Exchange gift cards at your Pensacola Commissary.
You can use your STAR CARD for your purchases in the commissary as well as Visa, MasterCard, American Express, EBT and SNAP.

Expanded Privilege - Starting January 1, 2020 all SERVICE-CONNECTED DISABLED VETERANS, Purple Heart recipients, former prisoners of war and primary veteran caregivers will be eligible to shop at commissaries worldwide. For more information on this new program, go to www.militaryonesource.mil/expanding-access, or to determine eligibility, visit a local VA medical facility; call 1-877-222-VETS (8387), Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. until 8 p.m., Eastern time or apply online at VA.gov.
Protective services civilian employees, (not dependents and/or family members), in the following series are now authorized to shop at the Commissary:
- Security Administration (GS-0080)
- Fire Protection and Prevention (GS-0081)
- Police (GS-0083)
- Security Guard (GS-0085)
- Emergency Management (GS-0089)
All other DoD Civilian CAC card holders are not authorized to shop at the Commissary.
Visitors to the Commissary must be escorted by authorized ID card holders.
CLICK2GO is our online ordering/curbside delivery service is now available seven days a week! Same day orders and pickup must be in by the respected time, pending available slots. From your computer/mobile device logging into your shop.commissaries.com account. If you don’t already have an account, you can register on the login page.
Pick-up parking spots are located in front of the commissary, third aisle from the Pharmacy parking lot.

Guest Rules
100% Military ID check is in effect.
Guest information - ID card scanning is in effect at all commissaries worldwide 100% ID check conducted at central checkouts. Visitors may accompany authorized patrons into the commissary; however, the installation commander has the authority to restrict visitors from entering installation facilities. Only authorized patrons are allowed to make purchases. When you present your ID card at the register, the cashier must conduct visual verification to confirm that you are the cardholder by looking at the photograph on your card. In addition, DoD Instruction 1330.17 grants installation commanders the discretion to institute 100% ID checks at commissary entrances for security purposes. Because these are separate requirements, your card must be shown and scanned at the register, even if it was also shown at the entrance. We regret any inconvenience this may cause you.

Produce Department
Fruit baskets are available for your special event or special someone. Produce has all the goodness of fresh fruits and vegetables for your parties or dinners. Call 850.806.0715 x 3008.
Meat Department
Contact the Meat Department and place your meat order for that that special dinner, cookouts etc. Depending on your needs, more advance notification may be required. Call 850.806.0715 x 3007.
Bakery Department
The Bakery can make special cakes, cupcakes and pastries for special occasions. Call 850.806.0715 x 3027.
Special orders from the following departments require 48-hour notice:
Deli Department
The Deli Department can make party trays (meat and cheese) for you. Special order your party tray today! Call 850.806.0715 x 3027.
